The American Cancer Society shows 38–46% of early-stage pleural mesothelioma patients survive two years after diagnosis, and 10–16% survive five years. Additionally, five-year survival for mesothelioma patients has steadily improved since 1999, according to the latest report from the National Cancer Institute’s Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program.
